Abandoning the private sector at last!

Well, firstly I must apologise for having gone an entire month since my last post – utterly shameful.  It’s been a crazy month, with a trip to Vienna, my granny landing herself in hospital after a bad accident, and a whole mountain of stressful stuff going on.  Finally, I’m beginning to see light at the end of that tunnel though, so back to blogging.

Despite all that nonsense going on however, I have a wonderful piece of news.  I have finally (after 9 years!), found my escape from the private sector.  9 years of financial services have taught me many skills – accounting, management, techie skills, project management, technical writing and a whole host of other skills.  But now it’s time for me to move on.

As of 6th April, I will be the new Youth and Development Officer for the Labour Party.  It’ll be a great way for me to combine my professional and voluntary experiences and skills, and I can’t wait!

  1. That’s great news! Well done. It’s the right time to get out. I’ve the pension levy coming next pay packet, and what with the tax hikes and the rumoured even more public sector pay cuts, I’m glad someone’s escaping! Hope your gran’s alright.
